Feathery fowl is one of our specialties here at Morrison’s Feed Bag. Not only do we stock a full line of organic and conventional poultry feeds, you can also find a variety of galvanized and plastic feeders and waterers for any size or quantity of bird. Any type of poultry question is welcome here since the store owner, Les Morrison feeds thousands of birds in the Northeast Kingdom and his knowledge of poultry nutrition and health is at our disposal.

After all the feed and time you put into your birds, keeping them safe from weasels, raccoons, foxes and hawks is very important. We offer a variety of poultry netting (1" and 2" holes, 25', 50' and 100' lengths, and from 2' to 6' heights) and welded wire and hardware clothe (1/2") to contain your poultry and ward off predators. Poultry Questions

My hens have stopped laying eggs. Is there any way I can get them to start laying again?
This time of the year, one of the biggest reasons for decrease in egg production is the lack of day light. Chickens need around 14 hours of daylight to remain productive. A way to get them back on track with their laying is to trick them into thinking there is still 12-14 hours of sun light (giving them more time to consume food), by installing artificial light. In short time they should be back to laying eggs again.
The water keeps freezing in my hens' water fount. What can I do to keep their water from freezing?
Here at Morrison's Feed Bag, we have electric heater bases which provide year round water supply for poultry, dogs, cats and other small animals. It prevents water from freezing at temperatures as low as 10 degrees Fahrenheit in metal founts, bowls and pans. Each heater base comes equipped with a thermostat control which turns on and off automatically for economical operation.
